Don't let them fool you...

Citibank is still evil. I've been hearing a lot about how they have abandoned Universal Default (and have done a good job in getting lots of positive press attention for it). (Link.)

Thing is, they had to have seen that various states were already acting to ban the practice (LINK), so the smart move was to bow out before state legislators forced them to abandon the practice.

Inside the industry, we know that Citibank is the big bully. When I have blogged about "Predatory Servicing" in the past, they're definitely one of the creditors I'm talking about.
